Marc Nikkel Primary School

Marc Nikkel Primary School was first built with local materials of mud and thatch in 2003 with funding from Christ Church Cathedral, Indianapolis. After significant deterioration, four permanent classrooms were funded by Christ Church Cathedral and completed December, 2011. In addition there are four temporary community built mud and corrugated iron classrooms, an administrative building, three pit latrines and a temporary kitchen. The school has been operating since 2003, serving 1,980 students pre-school through P8 with ten GoSS teachers and Headmaster.

Currently, four more permanent classrooms funded by Christ Church Cathedral and the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia (DSWV) are under construction to be completed in 2012.
