Help us build and operate schools

We can build a primary school for approximately $240,000USD and a secondary school for approximately $185,000USD. Adding a boarding facility for either a primary or a secondary school costs an additional $149,000USD - $210,000USD. Annual operating expenses for a primary school are approximately $25,000USD and $20,000USD for a secondary school. This breaks down to about $100 per student per year or $125 per teacher per month.

Help us spread the word about South Sudan

The 20 year old internal conflict in South Sudan has taken a heavy toll on the lives of the people. Thousands of lives have been lost, people and families have been displaced and communities have been destroyed. Many families live outside South Sudan in refugee camps in Kenya, Uganda, Egypt and in Northern Sudan or have moved to Europe, Australia and North America. For families that remained in South Sudan there is an entire generation of uneducated or undereducated people.

Volunteer your time and share your many talents

Project Education Sudan is an organization made up of dedicated volunteers from many walks of life. We have teachers, university and high school students, business owners, financial professionals, not for profit executives, clergy, Sudanese refugees, Lost Boys of the Sudan and many others who care about the people of Sudan and want to respond to the need for rebuilding the educational infrastructure there.

Project Education Sudan is always looking for new volunteers from all walks of life. We need help in many areas including writing and editing newsletters, grant writing and research, fundraising, development director assistance, event planning, sister school coordination, field assessment reports, donor relations and project development.
